Dog Day @ Bandar Botanic, Klang

Bandar Botanic in Klang is organizing a Dog Day on April 27th, 2008 (Sunday) from 9:00am to 3:00pm. The Dog Day will be a great day for dog lovers in Klang Vallery, those from Klang in particular, to meet each other and have some fun and enjoy various dog demonstrations. The event also present a good opportunity for all dog owners to socialize their dogs.

Open to : All dogs lovers. Owner of Mixed Breeds and Pure Breeds dog and their dogs are all welcome.

hmm.. it’s not as bad as i first thought. it may even taste good. maybe the humans thought they can kill me this way. or perhaps they wanted to try to scare the boss. but, bosco is fearless boss. you have to try harder next time humans.

disclaimer by the humans:

1. there were no creepy ‘crawlies’. only ONE miserable crawl-y.
2. there was no intention of killing you, bosco. have you been secretly watching triad movies at home while we are at work?
3. the wormy was in a pack of sample kibbles given to you less than a week ago. not something we have kept forever in your treat bag. only thing is: it’s expired. #1 has already called up the shop to inform them of this.

bosco to the humans:
what??!! expired months ago and you still tried to feed it to me? dare you say that you were not trying to kill me???!! *upset*

pawnote: this dispute was finally solved with the agreement of ONE piece of good cheese (please check expiry date!) a day for a week.

no, this is one of those ‘after’ and ‘after’ photo. :p

the first ‘after’ is the insert which happens to be the previous psp earphone set that have been chosen by bosco to go through the chewing process. that is how it looks like after im done with it.

the second ‘after’ is when the humans found the first ‘after’ and got upset and then much later bought a new earphone set. bosco cant understand the fuss. should just go straight from the chewed set to a new set without the upset part of the equation. such a waste of emotion..

anyways, here’s a closer look at my masterpiece. it’s a work of art.

they are very careful with the new set and i have tried scavenging for it but i cant seem to be able to find it. but, the silly humans have no idea that what im really after is this…

let me relate a conversation that always crack me up. (there are variations, but it goes along almost the same way)

Brief history/Origin
There are several theories of the Poodle’s origins and, while it is regarded as the National Dog of France, the breed’s actual roots may have come from Germany where he is known as the Pudel or Canis Familiaris Aquatius. The breed is also known as the “French Poodle” and the “Caniche.” The Standard Poodle’s original popularity was largely due to his fame as a Water Retriever. Ancient Egyptian and Roman artefacts depict the Poodle’s ancestors assisting their masters as game nets are brought in, retrieving various game from marshes, and herding animals.

For centuries, the poodle’s intelligence and personality made it a favorite with gypsies and other travelling performers who trained it to perform all manner of tricks and skits to delight of paying spectators. Accounts of famous royal command performances along with stories of amazing street shows are littered throughout the historical record. Variety shows featuring poodles dressed in all manner of costumes and displaying amazing feats of intelligence, balance and agility became all the rage in the 19th century.

One of the most misunderstood aspects of poodles is why they are clipped in such an array of seemingly bizarre styles. The fact is that the distinctively shaved areas and tufts of hair – the unique poodle “look” — are a direct result of the poodle’s working and sporting heritage.

In order to protect the poodle’s vital organs and joints from the biting cold of constant water retrieval, certain areas were shaved for added mobility and to lessen the chance of snagging while other key areas were left densely covered for warmth. The ribbon commonly found tied into a poodle’s topknot, is believed to have originally been a means of finding and identifying the dog when it was working in water.

Standard Poodle: above 15 inch. (at highest point at the shoulder)
Miniature Poodle: 15 inch. or below (at highest point at the shoulder)
Toy Poodle: 10 inch or below (at highest point at the shoulder)
Teacup Poodle: 7 inch or below (at highest point at the shoulder)

oh, it’s just another one of those long time owing ones. been putting this off because.. there’s video editing. pacco is doing a really good job at it. maybe you could help me here pacco? it takes up such a lot of time to edit and on top of that, this pc is like tortoise-slow. no offense to tortoises though.

little tortoise, bosco say sorry if that offended you. just that, your speed suits you, but not a pc.

so, this post will have to go up because then bosco can concentrate on other things to write about. although, there still will not be video. (what?!!) haha! do be patient ok? keep checking the updates at the bottom of the post. i should have the videos up pretty soon.

first of all, thanks to amber-mae for inviting bosco to my first ever party. i wish one day i can return the favour and ask all my doggy friends to come to a party at my place too.

when bosco firstly arrived, the humans was afraid to let me go off leash. (as if i’ll be tearing other humans apart? as if.. *shakes head*gormless humans i own!) anyways, amber-mae’s human had more sense in her and asked the humans to let me go off leash. wow.. it was fun! the first time bosco was allowed to go off leash with so many doggy friends around. but wait a minute, bosco straight away ran into the house and literally ‘parked’ myself with these two poodles. aren’t the gorgeous?

in picture are girlgirl (white) and maymay (brown). i hope i didnt get their names mixed up. i was like so in love at the moment, i might have just gotten their names mixed up. oh no!! was that why they were ignoring me half the night? (#2: more like the WHOLE night, bosco.) oh humans, they are so tactless.

and then came mimi to the rescue. she probably saw how i was being dissed by the two princesses and came over to show them that i wasnt half that bad.

thanks, mimi. you’re such a gem! i like you lots too.. but next time, we should keep the kissing private just between the two of us ok? cos the humans were taking advantage of the situation. who knows what they’ll do with those pics/videos when we get like really famous? (#1: too late, bosco & mimi, we got enough material for blackmailing purpose.) well, what did i say about being tactless.. sigh! so hard to teach them new tricks. humans!

well, bosco’s not gonna worry. if the humans try anything funny, i will get my friend, pacco to scare them off. pacco is this amazing high jumper with killer stare. pacco, you will help me, wont you? just stare long and hard at those humans will do.

one of games played during the party was the ’stay’ game. i cant understand this game at all. if you can spot me at the little corner, i cant even stay still when the human is holding on to me. i think i’ll definitely not be able to play this game. sorry only able to catch picture of one game, cos the rest of the time, i was busy trying to understand the other games. it’s so hard!

all in all, everyone had a really great time. at least i know i did. haha! and my humans, the evil people, were gushing about the pasta. they absolutely love the pasta. why are they evil? they never even fed me one single bit of it. so evil! but, i had one sausage all to myself AND, gorgeous amber-mae gave me a red packet packed with biscuits. so yummy! and so happy..

needless to say, i slept the whole way home. full and happy. and that is good life as i see it. thank you once again, (although a little late) to amber-mae for inviting me to your beautiful home and your great party.
